	Mark as Spam actionforanimals : 11/21/2009 9:16 PM well, being vegan is really just the next step from being vegetarian. in addition to not eating meat, you don't eat other animal products either. so that means no dairy, eggs, gelatin, etc. also, being vegan is associated with not wearing animal products (leather, fur, silk, wool, etc.) or using products that have been tested on animals. some people become vegan instantly, others make it a gradual process -- it's important to do what will work the best for you and allow you to stick with it. you should check out our journal on "tips for parents" -- it has a lot of great info for anyone who's thinking about going from vegetarian to vegan, including info about dairy and egg alternatives, nutrition, and more. just let me know if you have any questions or if there's any other info that i can help you out with.
